Stephen and Julie's Wedding

The Sherrods did their share in making the day the most delightful!

With housing the family and taking care of the reception. Wow what a load and blessing!

Pastor Clarence Sexton did a great job working with his translator and it was a beautiful wedding.

Three of the four uncles made it in for thewedding andthat was a added blessing.

Tom, Dan, and Andy

My brother Andy Lorrie with their two daughters were there and were a big help in every way.

Uncle Jean-Louis came from France and made everybody curious with the "piece montée" French cake (cream puffs with carmel coating). mmmmm was it good.

What a joy is was to have Isabelle's family with us, it was the first time for most of them to ever be in the US. Thanks to the Sherrods we were all very comfortably housed.

Around the Gospel Oak

Glorious New Year to one and All
Dedicated to the Gospel in 2010

The Gospel Oak
The first day of January we were blessed to have our family together. This picture was taken about 15 km north of Orleans in the forest of Orleans, which is the largest domain (formaly owned by the king) forest in France. The sign reads "the gospel oak", the sign below it reads
"the crossroads of the gospel oak".

This forest was the place where the Huguenot Christians found refuge in times of persecution. This is where they were able to worship freel since worship in the city limits was forbidden by the law of the king. Thank God for the men, who didn't let the bad new of the kings court, keep them silent from preaching the good news of the King of kings.

Times have really not changed all that much. The true gospel is still under attack and those that preach it faithfully are still maligned and mistreated. Persecution did not stop our forefathers and by God's grace will not stop us.
Pray for the gospel to have its free course in a land where so many isms have bound the hearts of precious people for years.

What does and over loaded back seat look like?

We have compleated 200 surveys!!! From those 200 we have seen Five people come to chruch. I guess we need to do 1000 more.

A picture for Christmas day!

The Christmas Programs Limoges-Orleans

The Christmas program in Limoges

11 visitors honored us with their presence 10 of them were first time visitors
Praise the Lord for the faithfulness of God's people to invite their neighbors and co-workers.

One father-visitor said we would be seeing him often. Pray, pray, pray!

We were delighted to have Stephen and Samuel home from college to help out with the music.

The young people did a great job under the direction of Isabelle.
They told the life of Jesus through the eyes of the apostle Peter. It brought tears to my eyes several times. We are trusting that hearts were touched.

The Christmas program in Orléans

The program was simple and the crowd was small but we were thankful for the city allowing us to have the beautiful meeting place for the price of the insurence.

Hugo taught us a beautiful arrangement of "Silent Night" of course the French version.

We were thankful for three first time visitors who have come to Sunday services since then.

Hugo and Caroline sang a beautiful deut

Stephen, Samuel and Hugo sang and played a song together.

Then Hugo gave a very timely conclusion to the program.

Our faith was tested this day but we thank the Lord for the victory. Isabelle worked hard cooking and preparing.

We had a very nice time of refreshements with lots of goodies.

Thanks for thoses who prayed for these programs.
